Opensource Application For Tracing COVID-19 Infections
COVID-19 has rattled us, positioning itself as a pandemic that threatens to take the lives of many across the globe.
President Cyril Ramaphosa announced an official lockdown to curb the spread of this virus.
We are in unchartered waters with this virus and the best we can do is unite, virtually unite in the fight against this pandemic.
We as Cloudberry Software Solutions would like to do our bit to assist Government and South Africans in the fight against COVID-19 and would like to invite you to join us because it is only when we work together that we can beat this pandemic.
We believe that rapid contact tracing is a central precondition for it to be possible to loosen the current lockdown in the foreseeable future.
With that said, we would like to build an opensource application to assist in tracing the spread of COVID-19 infections.
This project aims to collaborate efforts of ordinary citizens of south africa to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 through community-driven contact tracing.
This application plans to make use of Bluetooth signals to determine if you are near another user with this application installed.
Your Bluetooth proximity data will be encrypted and stored only on a users phone.
The department of health will seek your consent to upload the data, if it’s needed for contact tracing.
We will be in need of, but not limited to the following people :
Android & IOS App Developer
UX Designer
IoT Developer
Test Analyst
Networks Engineer
Project Manager
Business Analyst
Legal Team
PR Team
South African Department of Health representative
